Duties of the DGSA Course
This course is designed for newly qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers to assist them in carrying out their roles and responsibilities.
The Adviser's duties include monitoring practices and procedures relating to the relevant activities of the undertaking as detailed in ADR Chapter 1.8.3.3.
COURSE CONTENT:
- Initial audit and fact finding.
- Safety obligations of Main Participants.
- Specific DG list, HCDG's and security provisions.
- Assessment of containment systems.
- Consignor, Carrier, Subcontractor, and third parties' quality assurance.
- Purchasing means of transport and checking equipment.
- Safety obligations of Other participants.
- Loading, unloading, handling, and driver compliance checks.
- Monitoring compliance.
- Training.
- Accidents and emergencies.
- Record keeping.
- Annual report.
