Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser
Organisations whose activities include the consigning, the carriage, or the related packing, loading, filling or
unloading of dangerous goods by road are required to appoint one or more Safety Advisers
whose responsibility will be to help mitigate the risks inherent in such activities with regard to
Persons, Property and the Environment.
The Adviser must attend training, pass an examination approved by the Competent Authority and
hold a Vocational Training Certificate. The Certificate is valid for 5 years.
We provide training which will enable candidates to understand the application of
the Chapters of the ADR Agreement and associated GB Carriage Regulations.
The training will also prepare candidates for the Scottish Qualifications Authority examinations
which can be taken at one of the centres of their choice.
The examination is an “open book” type.
Our 5 day training courses are held at Cardiff.
Courses include: Core module, Road and All Classes.
